 Agenda

1/ Belgian Youth Delegate to the UN General Assembly

“Participation in decision-making is one of the key priority areas of the UN's agenda on youth. One form of youth participation at the United Nations has been through the inclusion of youth delegates in a country's official delegation to the United Nations General Assembly and various functional Commissions. The role of a youth representative varies from country to country. One focus of a youth delegate’s work is in the Third Committee, the part of the General Assembly that deliberates on Social, Cultural and Humanitarian Issues. In past instances, youth delegates have delivered statements on issues of concern to young people in the Third Committee.”

2/ European Youth Forum

Participation in the European Youth Forum The European Youth Forum performs functions that are complementary to those of its Member Organisations; articulating and voicing the concerns of membership, and seeking their inclusion on the political agendas of governmental institutions, such as the European Union, the Council of Europe and the United Nations. The European Youth Forum aims to build a strong and united youth movement in Europe through Youth organisations. It empowers youth in their ability to come together and build independent, democratic, representative and inclusive associations. The European Youth Forum is a place for debate that leads to the elaboration of policies and positions, which are based on the opinions, experiences and expertise of young people from all over Europe. With the unit, we are currently trying to get into the first step: Observer member.
